The Legacy series is growing! I remember when I first introduced the Wilkerson family a couple of years ago. Since then, many of you asked about Paige Scott's family, so I released Baby Love and Love Is. Then some of you wanted to know even more about the Scotts, including Trent and Paige's brother Warren, Jr. Well, it took some time, but Warren very well could have met his match in No More Love.
Meet Warren (junior that is). Just like his late father and namesake, he is a player… except he's not one to get caught up in drama like his dad. There will be no out-of-wedlock babies (or in-wedlock either), no trail of tears in his honor, and damn sure no love. His path is his own and he doesn't have time for distractions - just unattached detours.
Meet Brooke. It doesn't take long for Warren to realize she's the perfect woman - as a player recognizes their own. She gets the rules and expects no exceptions. In fact, she even has a few rules of her own.
But what fun are rules unless they can be broken?
No More Love will not be released until next month, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek anyway.Read More
Love Is is here! Click to get your sneak peek at my new release inside the blog.
It took a once-in-a-lifetime bond to teach her what love is, and a once-in-a-lifetime betrayal to show her what love is not... Love Is. A different kind of love story.Read More
Last week, I revealed a story that I didn't plan to write, but I'm so happy that I did. In Love Is, Diane Collins had big plans for her life, and hoops star Warren Scott was not among them. He doesn't want to be the face of the NBA, and she doesn't care that he is. His reluctance to be part of the limelight disarms her and the two embark on an unlikely friendship that becomes an even unlikelier romance. Soon, his life is her life - filled with VIP treatment, parties and luxuries beyond Diane's wildest imagination. But Warren is harboring a secret, and once it's revealed Diane's decision to stay or go could change the very fabric of who she thought she was.
In the coming weeks, I will share more with you about Diane's story, Love Is. However, I do have an unedited sample from the manuscript just to give you a peek at what's to come.Read More
Her climb up the corporate ladder was one done with plenty of sacrifices, but the one that troubled Alejandra the most was losing her friendship with Jeremy Wilkerson. In Ready for Love, the fourth book in the Wilkersons in Love series, circumstances bring Jeremy and Alejandra back together… but can they manage to keep it that way with so much conflict between them?
For #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday), I am featuring an excerpt from Ready for Love featuring todays #WCW Alejandra Moore. Enjoy!Read More
“Ronnie?” Darius Brooks asked, after opening the door. He stood there and stared at her, puzzled by her unexpected appearance at his condo.
Her meek greeting was not like his former wife and instantly Darius knew something was wrong. “What’s up?”
He kept his distance, leaning against the doorjamb blocking her from having access to the peace he found since they parted.
“Can I come in?” she asked. She wrapped her arms around herself as she fought the bitter cold. He forgot she was a Cali girl and hated snow.
Darius hesitated before moving aside.
Veronica took a step forward before stepping back. “I’m sorry. Were you entertaining company?”
He wondered if she was being sarcastic, but the concerned look let him know she was really trying not to intrude if he had been. Fortunately, Alisha ended up going to Paris after all and he could avoid that awkward moment where he would have had to introduce the woman he used to sleep with to her replacement.
Darius instead held the door open wider and gestured for her to come inside. He watched her do so with caution, standing a few feet away from him in his foyer like she really didn’t want to be there. This only confused him more, because if she didn’t want to be there then why was she there at all?
“What’s up, Ronnie? Everything okay?” he asked.
Veronica nodded, but then shook her head. He hadn’t seen her look this way since he comforted her after she lost her grandfather their junior year in college.
“Baby, what is it?” he asked, stepping closer to hold her. He wanted to hold her, but he knew two years ago he gave up that feeling when he signed those papers. Didn’t he?
He struggled with his own conflict, but when her lip quivered, Darius opened his arms to pull her in.Read More
“Donovan, what are you doing? Everyone is downstairs waiting for me,” Mya whispered harshly against his neck. She swallowed a giggle feeling like a schoolgirl getting busy beneath the bleachers during a game.
“They’re twenty minutes early so they can wait. Besides, they wanted to spend some time with Trey,” he explained looking down into his wife’s loving eyes. Nipping her pouty, bottom lip quickly, he continued, “I told them you were finishing up with packing and getting dressed. It wasn’t a full lie because after we’re done, you’re going to need to get dressed again.”
